Don’t forget that this Thursday is the MSCA Dinner Meeting at 7 pm. We’ll gather at Garibaldi’s Pizza on Walker Ave (across from Tiger Bookstore). The second gathering is on November 20th at 9 am for Sat-art-day for those who can’t make the Thursday meeting, and to give us an opportunity to get some artwork . . .  Adam B. The artist reception for the art show “Elementary: The Many Faces of Sherlock Holmes” was a big success this past Wednesday night. Several members of the MSCA were in attendance. And some like Ronnie and Jane Shenks came bearing gifts! The Sherlock Candy Bouquet was awesome! Nicki, her mom, and sister . . . Adam B. Artist reception is October 20th from 6-8pm and is open to the public. . . . I stopped by Theatre Memphis yesterday to check out the space for my upcoming Sherlock Holmes art show there in October (Elementary: The Many Faces Of Sherlock Holmes). It will be in conjunction with their performance of “Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure”. While I was there taking photos of the space I noticed a . . . Escape From The Asylum is an art show inspired by the Batman comics and features work by artists Jamond Bullock, John Bullock, Patrick Tabor, Joseph Boyd, and Tony Brown. Show runs from May 15-29, 2010 at Marshall Arts Gallery- 639 Marshall Ave. in Memphis, TN (just down the street from Sun Studios). Show . . . |
