New Jetta Web Comic
kims-story1

There is a new web story starting up this Friday at www.toshigawa.com. This one is called Kim’s Story.
If you picked up the graphic novel, Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa-Defiance, then you will notice that Kim’s Story fits right in the middle of that book.

Synopsis:
Kim, the young leader of the Toshigawa ninja clan, is on a secret recon mission in the heart of new Tokyo. His back-up is a young group of ninja excited to begin their first mission. However, can the inexperienced group of warriors make it back from this mission alive when they encounter the demon army of the Knave?

Written by Janet Wade and illustrated by Sean Izaakse with colors by Kevin L. Williams (creator of Muley The Mule and editor on Jetta).
This is a free web story that will be running at toshigawa.com. Each Friday they will post a new page of this exciting story. Each story is illustrated and written by guest artists and ties in with the main Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa graphic novel series.

Don’t forget to send in any member or industry news to me, and also check out our new forums. Lots of great topics to talk about, or feel free to start your own. You can also share your art with the group.
I’ve also started “Pimp It Friday” on my Comic Whore site. Your news could be a part of it, but only if I know about it! ;)

LinWorkman.com 6 Month Anniversary

Today marks the 6mo anniversary of the re-launch of the new and improved LinWorkman.com site. Our webmaster Nicki has done an awesome job with my site, and the new and improved MSCA site, too! (Thanks Nicki!)

Sketchy Details

It’s sketchbook Wednesday at the BushiTales.com site. Every Wednesday there will be new sketches posted from the creators of Bushi Tales, Dave Beaty and Lin Workman(me!). Sometimes it will be BT characters, sometimes it’ll be stuff from our sketchbooks, conventions sketches for others, or fan-art.

Comic Whore Schedule

I’ll be updating the new ComicWhore.com site 3 times a week now. Mondays will be my blog on self-publishing and promotion, Fridays will be my “Pimp It!” days where I will spotlight a few things in the comic industry that I think need a bit more exposure (comics, cons/shows/creators/movies/art/podcasts, etc), and Wednesdays will now have a guest columnist- Nicki! Our webmaster will be discussing how to use the web to promote yourself. Really looking forward to that, and to having a few more guest writers in the future share their knowledge about comics. I also will be adding a few interviews here and there from pros I know and meet. If you’d like to know more about self-publishing and/or how to “pimp” yourself and your work check out Comic Whore.

Got comic or member news- let us know! You can email me (lin at linworkman dot com) or post it on our MSCA forums.
