The weather is looking great this week. Should be a great night to stretch your legs and enjoy some art.

Our webmaster Nicki has been at it again-
The MSCA site has a new look for users with touch-based smartphones like the iPhone and Google Android.  All of the MSCA features remain the same, but the site will run smoother and faster for these users.

- Nicki

The MSCA website, the ComicWhore.com site, and my LinWorkman.com site are all iPhone friendly now. How cool is that?! Thanks, Nicki- you’re awesome.

I wonder if that means I now need to buy an iPhone..?

LinWorkman.com 6 Month Anniversary

Today marks the 6mo anniversary of the re-launch of the new and improved LinWorkman.com site. Our webmaster Nicki has done an awesome job with my site, and the new and improved MSCA site, too! (Thanks Nicki!)

http://www.linworkman.com

Sketchy Details

It’s sketchbook Wednesday at the BushiTales.com site. Every Wednesday there will be new sketches posted from the creators of Bushi Tales, Dave Beaty and Lin Workman(me!). Sometimes it will be BT characters, sometimes it’ll be stuff from our sketchbooks, conventions sketches for others, or fan-art.

Comic Whore Schedule

I’ll be updating the new ComicWhore.com site 3 times a week now. Mondays will be my blog on self-publishing and promotion, Fridays will be my “Pimp It!” days where I will spotlight a few things in the comic industry that I think need a bit more exposure (comics, cons/shows/creators/movies/art/podcasts, etc), and Wednesdays will now have a guest columnist- Nicki! Our webmaster will be discussing how to use the web to promote yourself. Really looking forward to that, and to having a few more guest writers in the future share their knowledge about comics. I also will be adding a few interviews here and there from pros I know and meet. If you’d like to know more about self-publishing and/or how to “pimp” yourself and your work check out Comic Whore.

My new website “ComicWhore.com” is up and running. I’ll be posting convention stories, supplier links, info on self-publishing and promotion, and things I think need pimpin’. Thanks to my webmaster Nicki for making it happen, and Charlito and Mr. Phil from the Indie Spinner Rack podcast and my former art teacher for the name inspiration! Check it out and let me know what you think.

Hey gang-

Greg “The Buckets” Cravens’ wife Paula will have her art show Standing Stones: photos of forgotten memories on display in the gallery here at my day job- West Memorials (2481 Broad Ave.) on October 2nd as part of the Broad Avenue Art Walk.

StandingStones03[1]

Her  show will be photography of cemeteries, mausoleums, statues and tombstones as art. You can see one of her photos above.

The art walk happens twice a year and is a lot of fun. You get to go from one studio or gallery to another up and down Broad Avenue checking out art, eating some cheese and crackers, and having a little wine at each stop.

Down the street at Adam Shaw’s studio the MSCA (including Paula’s hubby Greg) will be hosting another art show- A Nightmare On Broad Avenue.

For more info you can check out our forums and-

Hope to see you there!
