From Lin:

Not sure if I hinted to you that I’d have some upcoming Marvel news for Dave or not but here it is…Dave got his contract from Marvel on Christmas Eve. :)

Scott Clark and Dave Beaty are currently working on a project together for Marvel- the upcoming X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks. Not sure what their next gig is, but as soon as they know and I can say I’ll post it here.

THE STORY:Before she can come home to the X-Men, Betsy Braddock has one final mission—settle the score once and for all with the man who’s been hunting her across the multiverse. Don’t know why the colorist is listed as Wil Quintana unless they solicited before Dave and Scott were officially doing colors and inks, but officially Scott’s penciling and Dave and Scott are doing the colors (unofficially I think they both are doing inks, too)

It’s more of a digitally painted story, kind of like what we did with Stargods- but with about 10 more years of experience under their belts. Scott was with us at our booth this summer at the San Diego Comic Con and will be joining the BT crew at the upcoming Phoenix Cactuscon- Jan. 22-25, 2009. If you’ve been wondering why we haven’t been producing any BT lately it’s because Dave was busy this summer/fall assisting Scott on some comic cover side gigs and doing try-out pages for Marvel. This has put everything we were working on in kind of a hold pattern for now, but I’ll still be working on some stuff and as soon as Dave can get back to it again he will. We’ve still got a lot of story to tell!

Congrats to Dave!
